Do you often find yourself struggling with managing your time? Do you wish there were more hours in a day just so you could finish your tasks? We live in a fast-paced, stressful society. We barely manage to finish everything that we have to do on time. If you constantly find yourself in the middle of many unfinished tasks, your problem may not be that you don't have a lot of time. Your problem might be time management.

Let's take for example the appointments you make or have. Did you know that you could use slots of cancelled appointments to work on things you need to finish? Don't be tricked into believing that if one of your appointments is cancelled, you have free time to do whatever you want. Instead of using the free time doing unproductive things, use this unpredicted extra time to finish smaller tasks. There are many small tasks you can do in ten minutes, half an hour, an hour or even a couple of hours. When you have finished those small tasks and there is still free time, use it however you wish.

Keep in mind, too, that postponed appointments would likely disrupt your schedule and other appointments. You would have to make time for re-scheduled appointments and work them into your scheduled tasks. This is all the more reason not to let those cancelled appointment slots show up at waste. Always have a list of small tasks that don't require to be done immediately. When one of your appointments gets cancelled, check this list and pick one or 2 small tasks you can do. Learn to manage your time wisely. When you don't have unfinished duties to stress you, you will be able to enjoy your free time.
